All Brownies or Girl Scouts ages 7-15
$80 per participant that chooses to ride $50 per participant that chooses NOT to ride If more then 12 are interested we will set up another time slot. This is a four-week program in
which participants will learn the following: Safety, ground handling, grooming, and tacking. Those that choose to ride will learn mounting, correct position in the English style, walking, stopping, turning, and an introduction to trotting. Those that choose not to ride will learn body parts, horse feed and care. All participants are taught through a system that encourages cooperation from all involved. Please click here to fill out the Troop Application, and setup your time spot now! All lessons must be scheduled on weekday afternoons during the school year or Saturdays during the summer months. A $50 non-refundable/per rider deposit is required to hold your troops time slot. Special note: Many times most girls in the troop want to participate but you may have a few that are scared. Those that are too fearful may still earn their badge without the riding aspect. Please be sure to offer the non-riding option.
